Master’s Program at the University of Naples “Federico II”
The Digital Orthodontics and Clear Aligner Therapy program explores modern orthodontics through the integration of digital technologies, clinical protocols, and interdisciplinary treatment concepts. Participants will develop competencies in digital diagnosis, virtual treatment planning, appliance design, and management of complex clinical cases across different therapeutic modalities. The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with clinical applications, emphasizing innovation, efficiency, and evidence-based decision-making.
Main topics include:
- Digital fundamentals: 2D/3D data, imaging, scanners, CBCT, 3D printing, and data management.
- Artificial intelligence applications in orthodontics, including growth prediction and computer vision.
- Digital diagnosis tools: 2D/3D cephalometry, virtual models, digital set-ups, VTO, and the complete virtual patient.
- Orthopedic appliances and treatment protocols for transverse, vertical, and sagittal malocclusions.
- Clear aligner therapy workflows for growing and adult patients, including monitoring and protocols for different malocclusions.
- Labial and lingual fixed orthodontics with digital indirect bonding, customized appliances, and biomechanics.
- Skeletal anchorage (TADs): planning, surgical guides, biomechanics, and clinical applications.
- Management of impacted teeth, dental anomalies, and complex biomechanics cases.
- Interdisciplinary orthodontic treatment, including prosthodontics, periodontics, TMD patients, and orthognathic surgery planning.
- Finishing, retention protocols, occlusal splints, and contemporary approaches to temporomandibular disorders (TMD).
The program is structured to be completed over one academic year. Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded a Master of II Level in Orthodontics Diploma, officially recognizing their advanced training in contemporary clinical approaches.
- Online lectures every second Wednesday from October 21, 2026 until May 19, 2027 (except December 30), 9:00 – 11:00 a.m., (CET), 2-hour Live zoom webinars (RECORDINGS WILL BE AVAILABLE).
- 2 weeks on site starting October 5-7, 2026 & spring/summer 2027.
- Case discussion sessions.

Documents preparation process:
Step 1
Contact an Ordoline representative or write to education@ordoline.com to express your intention to participate in the Master Program.
Step 2 – Deadline: July 1, 2026
Complete the Application Form (the form will be sent to your email after registration and you can fill it online or paper version).
Step 3 – Deadline: July 1, 2026
Schedule an appointment at the Italian Embassy to obtain a Fiscal Code (Codice Fiscale).
Step 4 – Deadline: September 10, 2026
Schedule an appointment at the Italian Embassy to obtain the Dichiarazione di Valore (if possible, we recommend arranging this during the same visit as your Fiscal Code appointment).
Step 5 – Deadline: September 10, 2026
Submit a Work License (English version or officially translated into Italian).
Step 6 – Deadline: September 30, 2026
Submit the completed University enrollment form and make university payments.
