The course is designed for Doctors who wish to deepen their knowledge of orthodontic treatment with aligners in growing patients. The main goal is to provide clinical procedures and treatment protocols that ensure predictable results. Even the most experienced clinicians will gain insights that can be immediately applied in their daily practice.

Course Topics:

  • Pros and cons of using aligners in growing patients.
  • Timing of interventions: phase 1, phase 2 or one-phase treatment.
  • Principles of craniofacial growth. Differences between growing and adult patients.
  • Etiology of malocclusions.
  • Treatment goals of early treatment (mixed dentition) and regular treatment (full permanent dentition).
  • How to perform a proper diagnosis. Role of the different diagnostic records.
  • Protocols for the development of transverse dimension.
  • Protocols for the management of the vertical dimension.
  • Protocols for the management of sagittal problems: indications and limits of aligners.
  • Retention and how to manage the transition from mixed to permanent dentition.
  • How to manage impacted teeth

Prof. Vincenzo D’Antò

Profesorius Vincenzo D’Antò yra įgijęs odontologijos mokslų diplomą, kur jis specializavosi ortodontijos srityje bei baigė net tris magistro studijas: „Temporomandibular Disorders” tema Neapolio Federico II universitete, taip pat šiame universitete gilinosi į „Lingual orthodontics” temą. Bolonijos universitete įgijo „Sleep Dentistry” magistro laipsnį. Vincenzo D’Antò apsigynė daktaro laipsnio disertacijas „Materials and Structures Engineering” ir „Oral Sciences” temomis. 2017 m. prof. D’Antò gavo Italijos nacionalinę mokslinę kvalifikaciją kaip burnos mokslų profesorius ir dabar žiniomis dalinasi Neapolio Federico II universitete. D’Antò yra IADR, EOS, AAO, WFO ir SIDO narys. Jis yra Italijos biomechanikos draugijos (SIBOS) prezidentas. Parašė daug straipsnių ir yra buvęs pranešėju konferencijose daugiau nei 20 šalyse ir tarptautinėse EOS, AAO, IADR, SIDO, EAS, DGAO, SFOPA, SiAlign, NVvO, HOD kongresuose. Profesorius D’Antò yra gavęs Robert Frank premiją (2004, 2005, 2009) ir Hatton premiją (2006) iš IADR, SIDO premiją (2007, 2010, 2018, 2018, 2019, 2019), EOS Houston premiją (2012) ir Tiziano Baccetti premiją (2016).
