We are pleased to introduce several important updates to the DrOrdoline platform. These improvements are designed to enhance your workflow by providing more detailed instructions, clearer visualizations, and a smoother treatment experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CBCT integration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The integration of CBCT data brings our treatment plan visualizations to a new level, offering more realistic representations, including detailed views of bone structure and root positioning.<\/p>\n\n\n

Elastics marking and recommendations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As previously announced, Ordoline has released elastics<\/strong> as part of our treatment offerings. From now on, treatment plan instructions will include <\/strong>detailed guidance on the recommended elastics for each case<\/strong>. By default, each case will receive two packages of these recommended elastics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, doctors may request alternative elastics if they determine a different type would provide a more effective solution for the patient.<\/p>\n\n\n

Please note that elastics are now marked by quadrant<\/strong> rather than by individual tooth, improving clarity without changing the physical placement.<\/p>\n\n\n

Buttons visualization updates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We introduce clear distinctions between the two types of buttons used in treatments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The round button without a hook will now be referred to as the “Button”, while the button with a hook will be labelled “Button with hook”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the treatment plan visualizations, these buttons will be marked with distinct shapes: the button without a hook <\/strong>will feature more angular, square<\/strong>-like corners, whereas the button with a hook<\/strong> will be depicted with a more oval shape<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These differences are illustrated in the example below.<\/p>\n\n\n

Pontics marking<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dark blue – aesthetic pontics<\/strong>
This colour indicates that pontics will be integrated into the aligners<\/strong>, with their shape reflecting the treatment plan animation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please specify in the “Note for Production” whether the aesthetic pontic should remain clear or be coloured for camouflage – note that colouring incurs an additional fee.<\/p>\n\n\n

Light pink – default pontics<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This colour indicates that pontics will not be integrated into the aligners but produced with bridges<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pontics are added only in the final stage of treatment visualization if not required throughout the treatment. These pontics will also have the text “ONLY FOR VISUALIZATION” on their buccal side.<\/p>\n\n\n
