We would like to invite you to the Global Ordoline Symposium 2022, which will take place on September 10th, at the spectacular location of Sheraton Parco De Medici, Rome, Italy. The theme of the Symposium 2022 is “Teeth movement predictability in aligner therapy: increasing treatment accuracy.”
This year’s Symposium will welcome attendees from all around Europe and a host of world-renowned clinical experts in aligner therapy, such as Prof. Vincenzo D’Antò, Dr. Julia Haubrich, and Prof. Nicola Derton as well as experienced local practitioners. Speakers will share their experience, insights and provide practical tips on improving treatment results with aligners and overcoming the most common challenges and complications. Dott. Nicola Derton
Dr. Nicola Derton is a specialist in Orthodontics, Adjunct Professor at the University of Triest and Clin. Assist. Professor at the United Campus of Malta. He's a world-renowned expert and speaker on mini-screws application as a TAD in orthodontic treatment who has contributed to 2 textbooks on this topic and developed several mini-screw devices. Lately, together with his team, Dr. Derton has developed a mini-screw device specifically geared toward orthodontic aligner therapy improving treatment accuracy and predictability.
Dr. Julia Haubrich
Dr Julia Haubrich studied dentistry at the University of Freiburg (Albert Ludwigs Universität), graduating in 2001. After working as a general dentist, she began her postgraduate studies in orthodontics in the private practice of Dr Werner Schupp from 2003 to 2005, continuing her studies at the University of Berlin (Charité Universität) under the direction of Prof Dr R R Miethke. Since becoming a certified specialist of orthodontics in 2007, she has been collaborating with Dr Werner Schupp and Dr Bahareh Wymar in a private practice in Cologne, Germany. She is co-author of the book Funktionslehre in der Kieferorthopädie, and has published articles concerning orthodontic aligner therapy, function, and pain therapy in several national and international journals. Dr Haubrich has been a clinical speaker for aligner technology in Europe since 2005, and is a board member and Conference President of the German Society of Aligner Orthodontics.
Dr. Jurga Liatukiene
Jurga Liatukiene is a specialist in orthodontics and a board member of the Lithuanian Society of Orthodontists and the Lithuanian Dental Chamber. She graduated orthodontics from Vilnius University in 2005, started work in Klaipeda, and established a clinic with a specialization in orthodontics, which is now the biggest clinic for orthodontic treatment in western Lithuania. Jurga Liatukiene has done several lectures for dentists and other oral health specialists about disease prevention in orthodontics, as well as started giving lectures to orthodontists about expanding their practices in treatments with aligners.
Prof. Gundega Jākobsone
Prof. Gundega Jākobsone is a D.D.S., Dr.med.sc, Dr.philos., MOrthRCSEd. She graduated cum laude in Dentistry (DDS) at the Riga Medical Academy, Latvia, in 1995. She received postgraduate training and Doctor of the Medical sciences (Dr.med.sc.) at the Riga Stradins University, Latvia. In 2014 she defended her thesis for the degree of Dr.Philos. at the Oslo University. She holds a Membership in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh from 2003. Presently she is an Assistant Professor and the Head of the Department of Orthodontics, Riga Stradins University, Latvia and works at a private practice once a week. Prof. Jākobsone has published several articles in the international orthodontic journals in the field of orthognathic surgery, 3D evaluation of the upper airways, 3D facial scans and treatment with fixed functional appliances. The studies were conducted in cooperation with several universities worldwide. She has served as a reviewer in several peer-reviewed journals, and lectured in conferences in Latvia and internationally. Her clinical interests include autotransplantation of teeth, and management of dental trauma.
Prof. Vincenzo D'Antò
Dr. Vincenzo D’Antò received his Degree in Dentistry, a Specialty in Orthodontics, a Master in Temporomandibular Disorders and a Master in Lingual Orthodontics from the University of Naples Federico II and a Master in Sleep Dentistry from University of Bologna. He completed a PhD in “Materials and Structures Engineering” and a second PhD in “Oral Sciences”. In 2017, Dr. D’Antò received the Italian national scientific qualification as full professor of Oral Sciences and He is currently working as Associate Professor at the School of Orthodontics of University of Naples Federico II. Dr. D’Antò is member of IADR, EOS, AAO, WFO and SIDO. He is the President of the Italian Society for Biomechanics (SIBOS). He authored many papers and has given oral presentations in more than 20 countries and at the international congresses of EOS, AAO, IADR, SIDO, EAS, DGAO, SFOPA, SiAlign, NVvO, HOD. Dr. D’Antò received the Robert Frank Award (2004, 2005, 2009) and the Hatton Award (2006) of IADR, the SIDO award (2007, 2010, 2018, 2018, 2019, 2019), the EOS Houston Award (2012) and the Tiziano Baccetti Award (2016).
